Thanks to low-cost Helix4 ASIC and embedded CPU, the Aurora 220 offers a unique combination of performance and features along with redundant power and cooling.

The software stack is built around proven ICOS 3.0 release with BGP-4, QOS, Multicast, IPv6, Routing, Data Center, and OpEN API packages available. No compromise on management and integration capabilities with the feature-rich industry standard CLI interface like on so-called “smart management” products.

Even if there is no backward compatibility between 10G SFP+ and traditional copper 1G Ethernet, SFP+ offers multiple benefits such as significantly lower latency and power consumption due to PHY-less design. Lower adaptor cost (a 10G SFP+ card with two DAC passive cable cost less than 10G RJ45 with cat 6e patch cords) if you don’t need to reach more than seven meters, and a possibility to connect with more powerful 40G/100G switches. And 48 1G Base-T ports are still here to serve!
